

This tour of bird watching will pass through Curitiba, the capital of Parana state, a city known for having on of Brazil´s best life quality standard besides having an extense green area with its parks and squares. Another place we will visit is the magnificent portion of Atlantic Rain Forest in the Coastline, where we will pass by Peças Island, part of the Superaguí National Park and we will be seeing the purple-faced parrot (Amazona brasiliensis), an endemic species of this area, flying back to Pinheiro Island, where they spend the night. After the Coastline we will travel to a different ecossystem in the countryside and visit the town of Tibagi, where the Guartelá State Park is located, we will walk through trails that take us to the beautiful Canyon Guartelá besides giving us the opportunity to watch spetacular bird species of this region.
In one of the world’s largest and well preserved estuarine complex and the largest Atlantic Rainforest remaining patch, including the Superagüi National Park. You can spend 5 days watching both, coastal and forest birds, more than 300 birds species are listed for this exquisite region. Beside that, we'll experience the Caiçara (traditional population of the Brazilian central–south shore, a mixture between indiagenous with europeans) culture, with its singular costumes. Tinamous, herons, ibises, humingbirds, toucans, woodpeckers, antbirds, manakins, cotingas, tyrants, spinetails, wrens and tanagers are just some of the groups you will be able to see.
